Shillong

Overview

Shillong is a hill station in northeast India and capital of the state of Meghalaya. It’s known for the manicured gardens at Lady Hydari Park. Nearby, Ward’s Lake is surrounded by walking trails. North, the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures features displays on the region’s native people. Waterfalls include the Elephant Falls to the southwest. East of here, forested Shillong Peak offers city views. Located in the northeast part of the country, Shillong is known for its mesmerizing combination of waterfalls and forests. Better known as ‘Scotland of the East’, Shillong takes pride in its ancient culture.

March to June : March and April see the advent of summers but the weather is still quite pleasant

June to September : Monsoon months see average to heavy rain falls in Shillong

》October to February: October is when the rainfall stops and the weather begins to cool down
