Parwanoo or Parwanu is a municipal council in Solan district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is an industrial town. It has himachal’s biggest wholesale market. It borders Panchkula district of Haryana, and is after the towns of Pinjore and Kalka on the Chandigarh Simla Highway.

Parwanoo is a place with many sightseeing options for a day. Beginning with a morning stroll among the nature and a thick cover of trees bearing fruits is almost magical. Have breakfast and start your journey with a prayer at Shri Balaji Temple. Kali Mata Mandir is next on the list situated nearby. From here head on to Pinjore where you can enjoy the flowers in full bloom. Take a break for lunch nearby and continue your journey to Gorkha Fort to get a glance of the city’s past. From here either you can go to Timber Trail for cable car ride and glance at mesmerising views of kaushalaya valley or can visit the cactus garden, one of its kind in Asia. A good dinner at the hotel and a refreshed mind are a perfect ending to your trip.

Parwanoo, a major industrial hub of Himachal has many ways of intra city commuting. Taxi are very easily available and can be hired for whole day. However, do not forget to bargain a bit. Apart from everything else, make sure you do not travel during monsoon, as place is prone to heavy rain falls. Winters are also very freezing, so carry heavy woolens is travelling during the season.

Being a hill station, Parwanoo can be visited at any time of the year, except during Monsoons. The weather throughout the year remains delightful and breezy, making Summers (March – May) the best time of the year. It is the perfect time to enjoy the lush greenery of the place with majestic mountains that surround Parwanoo. This place looks extremely picturesque during summers, and the perfect weather conditions make it easier to indulge in various activities like trekking and mountain climbing. Monsoons are least advisable time to visit Parwanoo, as it’s prone to landslides which makes the place dangerous.
