Overview

Leh is the capital city, as well as the largest district of Ladakh, located in the northeastern part of the region. When people talk about touring ‘Leh Ladakh’, they usually mean the Leh region of Ladakh, which is known for its stunning natural beauty and breathtaking vistas.

Ladakh is most famous for breathtaking landscapes, the crystal clear skies, the highest mountain passes, thrilling adventure activities, Buddhist Monasteries and festivals.

Ladakh holiday 7 to 10 days trip is fine for Ladakh as you would be able to see a lot of places. But if you wish to do a trip that isn’t full of travel then 15 days are perfect.

The most famous dish in Ladakh, momos are dumplings originating from Tibet which are generally stuffed with minced meat, vegetables (cabbage, potatoes, carrots, onions, spinach) and cheese.

You can get ample of flights from Leh airport which take you to various other destinations easily. Flights are direct to many cities and states. You can reach airport by road connectivity.

The Ladakhi language is a Tibetic language spoken in the Indian union territory of Ladakh. It is the predominant language in the Buddhist-dominated district of Leh.

Leh to Pangong Lake Distance

The usual route that takes you through Shey and Chang La, is about 160 km one way. The other ways that one has to take through the Nubra Valley take you over either the daunting Wari La Pass or the beautiful and calm Shyok Valley.
